Hornets To Interview JJ Redick For Head Coaching Position

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Charlotte Hornets are interviewing former NBA guard JJ Redick for their head coaching opening.

Redick, who spent 15 seasons in the NBA, has no prior coaching experience. However, he has been a vocal critic of the NBA's current officiating and has expressed interest in coaching in the past.

The Hornets are looking to replace James Borrego, who was fired after the team finished 43-39 and missed the playoffs. Redick would be a surprising choice, but he has a strong basketball IQ and is well-respected around the league.

The Hornets are also interviewing other candidates, including former NBA coach Mike D'Antoni and current Memphis Grizzlies assistant coach Taylor Jenkins.

The Hornets are hoping to make a decision on their next head coach by the end of the month.
