Diane Westhoven Wins State Final
New Queen to Represent Alabama at National Competition
Diane Westhoven, a native of Vestavia Hills, was crowned Miss Alabama USA on June 1, 2024. As the reigning Miss Southern Plains, Westhoven will now represent Alabama at the Miss USA 2024 competition. She is the first woman from her hometown to win the state title.
Westhoven was crowned at the state final, held at the Gogue Center in Auburn on Saturday night. She competed against 25 other contestants for the title. Westhoven's win marks the third time in the past five years that a woman from Birmingham has won the Miss Alabama USA title.
As Miss Alabama USA, Westhoven will have the opportunity to compete for the national title at the Miss USA pageant, which will be held in Las Vegas later this year. She will also represent Alabama at various events throughout the state.
Westhoven is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she studied public relations. She is currently working as a marketing coordinator for a local non-profit organization.
