Fluminense Unveils New Home Jersey for 2022-23 Season
115th Anniversary of First Carioca Title
Exclusive Championship for Rio de Janeiro Teams
Brazilian football club Fluminense has unveiled its new home jersey for the 2022-23 season. The jersey commemorates the 115th anniversary of the club's first-ever Carioca title, which was won in 1907.
The Carioca Championship is an annual football competition contested exclusively by teams from the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. Fluminense has won the title 31 times, making it the second-most successful team in the competition's history.
The new Fluminense home jersey is predominantly red, with green and white accents. The jersey features a retro design, which is inspired by the club's jerseys from the early 20th century. The jersey also has a special commemorative patch, which features the club's crest and the dates of its first Carioca title.
Fluminense will debut the new home jersey in its upcoming match against Botafogo on July 13th. The club is hoping that the new jersey will bring it good luck and help it to win its first Carioca title in over 10 years.
