Al Hilal Eye Another Win as Abha Look to Avoid Relegation
Leaders Al Hilal Riyadh host relegation-threatened Abha Club in the Saudi Professional League on Thursday, 21 December 2023.
Al Hilal have been in stunning form this season, winning their last seven league matches and sitting top of the table with 45 points from 19 games. Abha, meanwhile, are second from bottom with 14 points from the same number of matches.
The two sides have met twice this season, with Al Hilal winning both encounters. They won 2-0 in the reverse fixture in May and 3-0 in the King Cup in October.
Al Hilal will be looking to continue their winning run and extend their lead at the top of the table. They will be confident of victory against an Abha side who have struggled for form all season.
Abha will be desperate to avoid defeat and move out of the relegation zone. They will need to produce a much-improved performance than they did in their last match, a 4-0 defeat to Al Nassr.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 local time (15:00 GMT) at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh.
